How it works

Enter the stock lengths you have (solid wood, battens, profiles) and the part list from your cut sheet. The tool nests them with minimal waste and produces a piece-by-piece cutting plan — with each board's remnant that goes back on the shelf.

Different sections don't mix

A 20×40 batten and a 30×60 apron are not cut from the same board. Tag the section or material in the “Name” column and run one calculation per section — so every plan matches a real stack of stock in the shop.

The saw kerf counts

A saw blade takes 3–4 mm per cut, and with 20 parts from one board that's nearly a centimeter — exactly enough for the last part not to fit. The “Kerf” field accounts for it on every cut automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it for chipboard or MDF panels?

No — panels are two-dimensional (2D) nesting, while CuttingOpt.Pro is for linear (1D) stock: solid wood, battens, profiles, tubes, edge banding by length. Panels need dedicated 2D nesting software.

What stock lengths does it work with?

Any — the standard 2, 2.4, 3 and 4 m boards, but also anything else, including short leftovers from previous jobs that otherwise gather dust in the corner.

Is the calculator free?
